WOW this is an incredible place to get hitched!!! Sojourn is great for Michigan natives looking for a forest retreat or out of towners (this cutie couple hails from Chicago!) that want to tie the knot after a morning of paddle boarding + beach volleyball. I’m getting major nostalgic camp feels from this day- where everyone has a great time with a cold one, good tunes and the best of friends.
This early August day was warm, the perfect mix of sparkling sun + cloud coverage, and full of lighthearted moments. That wooded first look was so serene, intimate and rustic, the trees providing a moment of sweet solace for the 2 previously nervous love birds. Boy they were stoked to be back in each others arms!
The bride’s dad and the groom’s best man gave speeches that made the whole place well up. Seriously, a best man speech where the groom isn’t being ragged on but instead showered with love melts. my. heart.
The live band was SO good and played everything from American Girl to Mr. Brightside, giving us all a reason to let loose and shake it out celebrating the sweet new Mr. + Mrs. (my personal favorite part of the evening).
A West Michigan wedding is always a great choice.
